Real People
We dress casually, we drink coffee, we support each other. We are regular, normal people who are trying to figure out how to follow God - it’s that simple. If you are trying to figure out how to follow God, come join us in journey together.
Real God
We believe that God is still very active in the world today, and we want to experience his presence and his power in our everyday lives. So we seek to know this living active God through understanding the Bible and worshiping him in a contemporary, relevant way.
Real Hope
When real people come together without pretense and together begin to seek the presence of a real God, they experience real hope - the hope that life has meaning, the hope that God is powerful, and the hope of experiencing real relationships. We all need hope. God gives hope. We are here to walk together into that hope.
We’re trying to live the dream.
“There is no way a group of people could really experience true community!” Well, the critics may say that, we believe different. There is one thing that unites our community with a bond greater than skin color, political persuasion, social status, or UNC basketball. As Christians, our belief in Jesus and our desire to follow his teachings unites us to something bigger than ourselves and unites us to each other.
Yet to experience the dream of community, you have to choose to hang out in community. This might mean that you take a risk doing outreach, become a part of a home group, volunteer to help the children’s ministry, or join the greeting team. It may also mean that you go to a Mudcats game or two. It’s not all bad. Pretty soon you won’t have to make a deliberate effort to find reasons to laugh. You’ll wake up to find that community is all around you. You’ll wake up to find that you are living in true friendship.
